EVERYONE DESERVES A FUTURE.
You don't have to know where to start. That's why we're here.
Brothers in Linework, Inc. is building pathways into the entire linework and utility infrastructure workforce—from overhead and underground power to telecommunications, vegetation management, CDL driving, and the crews that keep projects moving—with a special commitment to minorities, at-risk youth, underserved communities, people rebuilding their lives after incarceration, people with a history of addiction or in recovery, and anyone who never knew these careers existed or how to take the first step.

Everyone deserves a future.
We believe opportunity belongs to everyone. Our focus is reaching minorities, at-risk youth, underserved neighborhoods, people who have been overlooked, individuals returning home after incarceration, people with past substance-use challenges or in recovery, and anyone who has never heard about these careers or had someone explain how to get started. No connections, no experience, or a difficult past should automatically close the door to learning about a career in the utility trades. We aim to help people find a first step, build confidence, and connect with training and career pathways.
“One hand reaches back to bring the next one forward.”
From “I never knew” to “I know where to start.”
Linework is bigger than climbing poles. We aim to support the people and skilled trades that build, maintain, and restore power and communications infrastructure. Programs and eligibility will be announced as partnerships are established.
Mentorship
Connect aspiring lineworkers with experienced professionals who can share real-world guidance, expectations, and encouragement.
Career readiness
Introduce minorities, at-risk youth, first-time job seekers, and adults changing direction to CDL pathways, safety fundamentals, CPR/First Aid, apprenticeships, and the steps toward utility careers.
Access & support
Work toward partnerships, equipment assistance, scholarships, and referrals that reduce financial and practical barriers to entry.
Linework is a whole industry.
You do not have to be a lineman to belong. We welcome people interested in the many careers that support utility construction, maintenance, and storm restoration.
Overhead powerline crews
Journeyman lineworkers, apprentices, groundworkers, operators, and transmission and distribution crews.
Underground utilities
Underground power crews, directional drilling, trenching, locating, conduit, and cable installation.
Communications & fiber
Fiber-optic, telephone, broadband, communications line crews, splicers, and technicians.
Tree & vegetation crews
Tree trimmers, climbers, bucket operators, vegetation management, and storm debris crews.
CDL drivers & transportation
CDL drivers, equipment haulers, logistics teams, and fleet support serving utility work.
Equipment & support teams
Digger derrick and equipment operators, mechanics, safety professionals, traffic control, and restoration support.
Real crews. Real opportunities.
From the ground to the top of a transmission tower, there are many ways to build a career in utility work. These photos show the kind of work and teamwork our community wants more people to discover.
